Located in the Meadowview neighborhood in Leduc, this park is a modern stone-age good time for youngsters. Nearly every surface in the park fits the dino theme—including a triceratops slide, boulder stairs and a “fossilized” T-Rex—but the main attraction is a mini zip line.

International Children’s Festival of the Arts Until June 2
St. Albert, AB
The largest children’s festival in Northern Alberta hosts more than 55 000 kids for six days of art and cultural events. While not all of the festival’s activities are free, there is a lot for families to partake in at minimal to no expense. The festival aims to be very inclusive, even offering tools for children with sensory processing disorders.

Watch the Sourdough Raft Race 10 Rabbit Hill Rd NW August 11
Head on over to Terwilleger Park for the annual Sourdough Raft Race. Watch from the banks of the North Saskatchewan as participants set sail on their homemade rafts and partake in Edmonton’s river water fight!
