A Day on the Train – Battle River Train Excursions

A Day on the Train visiting rural communities along Battle River Railway and get out of the city! Travel by passenger train to small town Alberta, where you will dine in a vintage hotel, take a tour at The Detention Brewery, visit Canada’s Largest Baseball glove and purchase the world’s best sausage at the Heisler General Store. Local entertainment will be sure to please.
Board our train in Forestburg and travel to Heisler, where you can visit the Heisler General Store to purchase some famous Heisler Sausage, continue on and take a walking tour of the village for a photo op at Canada’s Largest Baseball Glove at the ball diamonds, then enjoy a wonderful lunch at the Historic Heisler Hotel.
After lunch, we will get back on the train and travel to Rosalind, where we will enjoy a tour of The Detention Brewery and a free sampler flight of beer. After the brewery tour, board the train for your return trip back to Forestburg.
A perfect outing for retirees, families or friends looking to enjoy a slice of the country at an easy pace. (Ticket includes train ride, brewery tour, flight of beer and an amazing locally sourced meal)
Depart Forestburg 11:30 am; Arrive in Heisler at noon for lunch, walking tour and more
Depart Heisler for Rosalind at 2:15 pm; arrive in Rosalind at 2:45 pm
