ANNA GRÉTA DUO | Anna Gréta combines elements of Nordic jazz with pop and folk in her music, creating a unique, atmospheric sound world. The Iceland-born jazz pianist, singer and composer is characterized by her soulful melodies and technical skills. This performance will feature both sung and instrumental music – Anna Gréta will play piano, keyboards, and sing, while Sigurður Flosason will play a saxophone, flute, and bass clarinet.

KIMURA / HEMMINGWAY DUO | An exploration and conversation in improvisation between pianist Izumi Kimura and drummer/percussionist Gerry Hemingway, exploring and supporting each others’ ideas, streaming from melodic moments to powerfully reflective minimalist moments. Both draw out a range of sound from their instruments to bring the listeners into new worlds, including preparations on the piano and melodic use of drum kit, blending exquisitely for textures and scenes which transport their audiences.
