Lil Mosey is known for performing in a singsongy style rooted in Atlanta trap despite hailing from the Pacific Northwest. The hedonistic rapper made his breakthrough in late 2017 with the viral hit “Pull Up.” With its trap bass, light melody, and a delivery similar to Lil Yachty and Desiigner, the track notched millions of streams for the teenaged Seattle musician, who issued his first tape, the RIAA-certified gold release NorthsBest, in 2018. The follow-up Certified Hitmaker featured Chris Brown, Gunna, and Trippie Redd, and debuted on the Billboard 200 in 2019 at number 12. It spawned the number eight Hot 100 single “Blueberry Faygo” in 2020 and paved the way for a slew of stand-alone tracks, followed by UNI, VER, and Love U Forever, EPs released from 2022 through 2024.
